In life we often struggle with situations and people we cannot change. We analyze and exert a lot of emotional energy towards trying to control all of the moving pieces instead of turning that control inward. I work with people on understanding that we may not be able to change what has happened, what will happen, or other people, but we can change and choose, how we respond, react, and there is incredible power in that. Life is filled with change and our ability to be successful in life and at life is based on how we adjust to change as the need for it arises. The purpose and goal of Be The Change Therapeutic Services is to educate and empower each individual to know that we not only have the power to be the change we want to see from others but the power to embrace and accept change as it pushes us in the direction of our higher purpose.

Our Reviews
From my personal experience, the challenges and obstacles I face in life had me feeling that my anxiety is unmanageable. Seeking life coaching with you helps me each and every day to work towards a feeling of peace and acceptance despite my thoughts or what I’m going through in life. You help me practice letting go of my negative thoughts and the negativity around me and being mindful in the present moment. You have helped me re-identify my values and my purpose which is meaningful to me and to start taking action in alignment with them. Thank you and I look forward to each and every session rather it’s once or twice a month.

My sessions with Brittany have been incredible in the fact that I have been able to fully express concerns, fears, and understandings of life without feelings of being judged. She is a wonderful listener who has an excellent skill of asking the right questions at the right time, without interrupting to create a change in the person who is speaking. My fear initially was that I would be judged for my downfalls as a black man. Brittany created a space in which I was comfortable and did not have those red flags of fear in communication because of her professional and honest presence, and her ability to create a safe space and share thought provoking feedback.

Brittany is enjoyable to work with & very passionate about her work. She’s honest. That’s tough to find consistently in any space. She brings a unique relatability to the team, which is good for mental health awareness.

My experience has been great and very self revealing. From my sessions I’ve been able to learn about the effects of my past trauma as well as methods of coping. All the I’ve gained from our sessions has helped rejuvenate my relationship with my mother and close family members as well as friends. It has also helped my self confidence and esteem. And has given me the courage to attack life head on moving forward. I graciously thank you for all that have done during our time and help you have given me with setting boundaries for protection of my peace.

I found Brittany online and I’m so happy that I did! I am currently living out of the country working in the mental health field and in the process of planning to take my licensing exam. I scheduled the appointment to receive some insight on how to market myself and prepare for the exam. My expectations were exceeded through the amount of professionalism that Brittany processes and the resources that she provided in relation to my appointment. During our consultation, she provided very profound and useful answers that I am utilizing today to further my professional career. I highly recommend her services and will be in touch with her in the near future.

I was lucky enough to have Brittany as a panelist for my event, Living Single, which was a mixer and panel discussion for singles. During the planning stages, Brittany was a joy to work with and during the actual panel discussion she contributed greatly. Not only was she able to contribute from the vantage point of a mental health professional but as a Black woman. Her words and personality resonated with our audience, she was approachable and relatable, and she didn’t hold back. She’s energetic and unapologetic and that made her a perfect addition to our panel.

Brittany was invited to speak at an all women’s brunch, focused for self-care and preservation and her contribution was well received by all of the guests. Brittany was asked to join our brunch based on her educational background and her passion for mental wellness and culture conversations found on social media. She exuded the passion we were looking for that afternoon. She used her professional background and down to earth conversations to drive home important topics and we were all appreciative.

Brittany was invited to participate in the SocialWorks workshops webinar series designed to help provide our students and audience with fun and quality information during the shelter at home order. Brittany was charismatic and relatable as she presented a variety of coping skills for people to use in their day to day lives. Her presentation was informative and helpful while we are all battling such a difficult time. We look forward to working with her again in the future.

We had the pleasure of having Brittany as a panelist for our Soulful Healing webinar focused on mental health and wellness. Brittany did an excellent job with being able to provide perspective on how easily our mental health can decline and what we can do to manage it routinely. She was down to earth and able to give insight on a variety of topics that were discussed. She is for sure a change maker in the field.
