MEET BRITTANY, Owner

My name is Brittany Rogers and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor, a certified alcohol and drug counselor, a life coach, and author. My education started at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign where I completed my Bachelor’s degree in psychology. I went on to complete my Master’s in counseling psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and have been working in the mental health field since 2014.

Prior to entering private practice, I’ve worked in multiple levels of care in community mental health and hospital systems. I have provided individual, couples, and family counseling as well as group therapy and facilitated workshops. I’ve worked with non-for-profit organizations in the Chicagoland area, in addition to speaking on panels and podcasts focused on mental health and relationship dynamics.

I operate from a client centered and solution focused therapeutic approach and I specialize in working with millennials, teens, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and relationship/familial dynamics. My therapeutic perspective is rooted in the idea that we all have the ability and potential to navigate life as our highest selves, we don’t need people to just give us the answers.  Most times we just we need help drawing connections, making sense of things that happen, and trusted guidance that keeps us on the track to living a meaningful life.

I currently work at Answers Lie Within Inc., a Black owned private practice providing therapy and I started Be The Change Therapeutic Services in 2020 to help bridge the gap between the access of psychoeducation and therapeutic services and the African American community.  Through BTCTS, I work on educating everyday individuals, businesses, and organizations on the basic and foundational concepts of mental health and emotional wellbeing through life coaching, couple’s mediation, workshops, consultations, interventions, and speaking engagements.
